WRITERS COLLECTIVE OF CANADA

Prompt: Write about something happy

Hello everyone,

I've been writing less lately; life gets in the way at times, but I'm not giving up. Today, the workshop was, as always, great. There are a lot of talented writers all over this big world. I'm so glad to take part in these inspiring workshops it's always a good feeling when I start and finish a workshop. We get so much inspiration; it is a community that helps me get my juices flowing.

Of course, this is just a draft that came out in about 10 minutes of writing yet I'm pretty proud of it.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy it.

I called to let you know, I'm on my way home darlin', Joe said.

The train is coming in at five fifteen, so you and the kids can expect me around eight-thirty.

Don't come to the train station. I don't want you to have to travel with them. I'll be there as fast as I can. All right then, Sarah said before she bid him the goodbyes, safe travels and I love yous, she got used to saying every time they spoke since he'd been overseas for almost the four years of the duration of this First World War.

It had been so lonely without her husband and for the kids to adjust to the absence of this larger-than-life man who showed the kindest heart and forcing soul. The young mother didn't know how to piece this man going out to war with the intent of killing. Joe would never hurt a fly, she thought. He took in baby rabbits in, nursed them to health teaching Lisbeth and Nelson to be gentle with the babies.

It was a fact that he wore the nickname  Doctor Good people in the parish had given him so well.
